To qualify for graduation, undergraduate students are required to complete 28 credits of general education. The general education curriculum at NPTU offered by the College of Mt. Dawu comprise four areas:
- General Studies (12 credits, implemented by the Center for Common Core Education): including Chinese, English and Information Management.
- Liberal Arts Education (10~12 credits, by CLAE): consisting of three areas, “aesthetics and cultures”, “citizenship and society”, and “natural sciences and technology”
- Physical Education (2~4 credits), and;
- Cross-college electives (2 credits)
